- Biography
Born in London, Michael Druiett studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Royal College of Music and the National Opera Studio. Studies with Norman Bailey, and, more recently, with Sir John Tomlinson led to his debut as Wotan in Opera North’s Das Rheingold.
Michael Druiett’s career began as a company principal with English National Opera and later with the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. Recent performances have included Beethoven Symphony No 9 with the Xian Symphony Orchestra (China).

Born in London, Michael Druiett began his career as principal bass at ENO and ROH, and has also appeared with companies including BFO, GFO, MTW, SO, WNO, La Monnaie, Brussels, L’Opéra national de Lyon, L’Opéra national de Montpellier, the Opéra national de Paris and the New Israeli Opera.
Michael began his career at the English National Opera in 1990 who supported him through the National Opera Studio. He studied with Sir John Tomlinson for his debut as Wotan in Opera North’s DAS RHEINGOLD. Druiett’s performances as Wotan received critical acclaim in the National Press.
