  4. 10. Apr. 2023 · Chilaiditi sign is a radiological finding that occurs when a segment of a large bowel loop or small intestine is interposed between the liver and a diaphragm. When this causes gastrointestinal symptoms, it is known as Chilaiditi syndrome.

  5. Interposition of a loop of large intestine between the diaphragm and the liver. It is seen on plain abdominal, chest X-ray or even CT. Normally this causes no symptoms and is called Chilaiditi's sign. It is considered one of the differential of pseudopneumoperitoneum.

  6. Despite the not so prominent interposition of the colon between the diaphragm and the liver, this case was managed as a Chilaiditi syndrome based in both the clinical and imaging data. It was treated conservatively with analgesia and later improvements of the symptoms.
