16. Jan. 2023 · Manchester Airport has released figures for December 2022 which show strong signs of recovery following the COVID-19 pandemic. The northern hub handled 1.7 million passengers in the last month of the year, which equates to approximately 88% of the pre-pandemic level.

Manchester Airports Group (MAG) airports served 2.7 million passengers in October, which represented 51% of pre-pandemic traffic compared to the same month in October 2019. These figures mark six months of sustained increases in the number of passengers travelling through MAG airports. In May 2021, the Group only welcomed 260,000 passengers.
