1. Feb. 2022 · DEEPENING HISTORY—San Francisco celebrated the centennial of the first cable car line (Clay Street) in 1973. With the Clay line long gone, Muni highlighted the celebration by creating a flagship Powell cable car from an old roof and new construction.
