GhostEye® MR is an advanced medium-range air and missile defense radar, that was unveiled in October 2021. Made by Raytheon, the GhostEye MR radar is a 360-degree surveillance and fire control sensor designed to detect, track and identify a wide variety of threats.
GhostEye® is a radar system that can detect and engage multiple threats from any direction, including hypersonic weapons. It is the first in a family of radars developed by Raytheon for the U.S. Army and other military customers.
7. Juni 2024 · The US Air Force has contracted Raytheon to integrate the GhostEye radar system with the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS). It’s a $12.5-million modification to a previous contract, cumulatively valued at over $50 million.
8. Okt. 2021 · So, Raytheon’s new name, GhostEye, establishes the identity of a family of sensors, all-seeing radars, powered by Gallium Nitride, and able to detect otherwise unseen threats at greater distances, at higher velocities, and from any direction.
10. Jan. 2024 · GhostEye MR expands NASAMS’ combat-proven capabilities against enemy aircraft, unmanned aircraft systems, and cruise missile threats. The radar was designed and developed by Raytheon, primarily through internal research and development investments.
