Dez. 2022 · The update to the radon potential map of Great Britain, produced by the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and BGS, is the first in over 10 years and provides an authoritative analysis of the likelihood of a building being in a ‘Radon Affected Area’ (an area with higher radon potential).
Welcome to UKradon. Three steps to manage radon in buildings - check, measure, act. Every building has radon and in most areas the levels are low. Some buildings in "radon Affected Areas" have higher levels. Buildings in these areas should be tested for radon. High levels can be reduced by simple building works.

The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) and BGS have provided an updated radon potential map of Great Britain. Radon is a colourless and odourless gas that is attributed to 1,100 lung cancer deaths per year in the UK – a risk that is highest among smokers and ex-smokers.
