You are invited into the stunning Alpine landscape of Europe, with Rivet Games’ Berninalinie for Train Sim World 4!
Stretching across the top of the Swiss Bernina Pass at Ospizio Bernina, over 2km above sea level, and making a daring path along the sides of mountains to the town of Tirano, marking Italy’s debut in Train Sim World, the Berninalinie ranks among the highest railways in Europe, and the World’s steepest, bearing down or steadily climbing 7% (1:14) gradients.
Packed with detail, the picturesque Swiss Alps tower over this metre-gauge spectacle, from the hairpin turns and tunnels of Alp Grüm, to the unmistakable Brusio Spiral Viaduct. The slower pace of valley running gives one a chance to take in the views, either as a driver or fully relaxing as a passenger.
Take on the role of an RhB driver for the Berninalinie, at the helm of the modern and stylish ABe 8/12 Allegra EMU. Operate passenger services with this 3-car unit, but with the additional ability to not only haul additional passenger coaches behind it, but also offering the unique opportunity for EMU-hauled freight! Capable of handling anything, the Allegra holds its own on the steepest of gradients, but you still must learn the art of safely stopping while perched atop peaks.

Berninalinie: Tirano - Ospizio Bernina is a metre gauge track route in Switzerland & Italy, developed by Rivet games. ABe 8/12 Allegra - Swiss dual voltage metre gauge EMU used in the Rhaetian Railway network for routes with steep inclines.
There are 49 services in total, with six half-way services from either Tirano or Ospizio Bernina to Poschiavo, where shunting moves can be operated in the morning. Three BEX (Bernina Express) services form part of the timetable, consisting of a run up and down with a shunting manoeuvre at Tirano.
