Farah Diba married Shah Mohammed Reza on 20 December 1959, aged 21. The young Queen of Iran (as she was styled at the time) was the object of much curiosity and her wedding received worldwide press attention.
Farah Pahlavi (* 14. Oktober 1938 in Teheran, Iran; persisch فرح پهلوی, DMG Faraḥ-e Pahlawī, geborene Farah Diba فرح دیبا, DMG Faraḥ-e Dībā) wurde am 21. Dezember 1959 durch die Heirat mit Schah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi Königin und durch ihre Krönung am 26. Oktober 1967 zur iranischen Kaiserin ( Schahbanu ).
