Alexander McLeish OBE (born 21 January 1959) is a Scottish professional football manager and former player. He played as a defender for Aberdeen during their 1980s glory years, making nearly 500 League appearances for the club, and won 77 caps for Scotland .
International gewann er den Europapokal der Pokalsieger 1982/83 durch ein 2:1 nach Verlängerung gegen den spanischen Pokalsieger Real Madrid. Zudem sicherte sich der Verein 1983 den Titel im UEFA Super Cup. 1990 wurde Alex McLeish zu Schottlands Fußballer des Jahres gewählt.
